Teachers For A New Era [TNE] SCC/UW Partnership Pathway

The Teachers For a New Era Program is a partnership program between Seattle Central Community College and the University of Washington. The program aims to recruit, support students from diverse backgrounds who want to transfer to the University of Washington to earn a teaching certificate to teach elementary students. The program provides scholarship facilitation, mentors, specific program advising, Teachers of Tomorrow club, orientation to program & resources.

  1. Copy of most recent high school or college transcript

  5. Essay 1-2 pages on why you want to become a teacher and be part of this program
  6. If new to SCCC, your SCCC Compass Test Results http://seattlecentral.edu/testing
  7. Letter of recommendation (could be from a teacher, community leader etc)
